Filming of the last season has just ended

The end is near for "Game of Thrones. While the last six episodes, which make up the eighth season, have just been shot, it's now up to post-production to take over.

According to Casey Bloys, the program's president. HBO, the channel that broadcasts the series, the series is expected to air in the first half of 2019. "I'm not going to tell you what to expect but it's really great," he told the Television Critics Association

The end of "Game of Thrones" does not mean that it will be necessary to say goodbye to the kingdom of Westeros. Indeed, HBO has commissioned a spin-off of the series that will run thousands of years before the events of the series. Filming should begin this fall at the earliest and should be aired one year after the end of the series.
