Vincent Flibustier, the creator of the parody information site NordPresse, announced Saturday via his Facebook account to withdraw from the list Ecolo to the City of Brussels, on which he appeared in the nineteenth place.
He claims to be a victim of online harbadment for weeks, and responds to his party's request to "take a step aside" in the face of a controversy that has been swelling for several days. The now ex-ecologist candidate claims to have been harbaded by blogger Marcel Sel for several weeks.
Evoking a very difficult situation, he says he refuses to "screw up his life" and prefers to withdraw from the list. He hopes that "this ridiculous affair" will not cannibalize the campaign of ecologists in the capital.

In his message, he also announces that he has filed a complaint against Marcel Sel for harbadment.
Benoit Hellings, head of Ecologist list at the City of Brussels, said on his Twitter account "take note" of the decision of Vincent Flibustier. "At the heart of an interpersonal war of incredible violence, his gesture allows us to stay focused on our alternative project for the City," writes the MP.
