The human bones discovered on 1 July last near the Royal Domain in Laeken were those of a 49-year-old Romanian homeless man. The badyzes of the Victim Identification Service of the Federal Police (DVI) as well as the forensic pathologist, have made it possible to rule out the possibility of the intervention of a third party, indicates Tuesday the parquet of Brussels, thus confirming information published on the website of the daily newspaper La Capitale

On July 1, a pbader-by circulating on the Boulevard du Centenaire in Laeken, had found a human skull. The police who came there had then discovered other human bones. The Victim Identification Service of the Federal Police (DVI), the police forensic laboratory and a forensic scientist were on site. The first findings of the survey suggested that there was no third party intervention in the death. The bones showed no fractures or lesions. The conclusion of the DVI and the law clerk confirmed this first hypothesis and the case was therefore dismissed for lack of offense.
