In June 2017, the cdH was taking the decision of the Walloon government PS-cdH, to form a few weeks later an alliance with the MR. An operation that allowed the Hervien Pierre-Yves Jeholet to access, for the first time, a ministerial position. And not just any one since he became Minister of the Economy, Industry and Employment, in addition to being propelled Vice President. He was sworn in on July 28, 2017. Looking Back on an "Intense Year."

What is your badessment one year after becoming Minister?

First, I want to remind you that it was unexpected, since it was not following an election. But I took my responsibilities because it was an important moment for Wallonia. We felt a certain form of immobility, a fatality. When Olivier Chastel proposed me to be vice-president of the Walloon government, and entrusted me with important subjects – employment, training, economy, digital, industry, research, innovations – carried out by two ministers previously, it was all the more important to go there. Besides, we knew we did not have a lot of time. When we take stock of the government, we see the number of decisions made, we realize the pace of work that has been imposed.
