Japan Expo 2018 - Things seen # 3: the Moriarty escape game

We had mentioned it in our stand war article: Kana wanted to create the event with an escape game in the middle of Japan Expo ! A challenge as the volume of sound is important in the editors' corner, making a priori complex immersion necessary to the smooth running of an escape game.

We were able to test the installation, and it was a great surprise to all point of view. Indeed, the setting up of ceilings in the rooms that make up the escape game isolates almost completely from the rest of the convention. And the care taken with the decorations turns out bluffing: one feels oneself plunged in the office of the Moriarty of Arthur Conan Doyle !

The small plot, that to solve in 20 minutes, asks the participants to find clues indicting the famous thug. A combination to find, to open a chest, itself hidden, in order to get your hands on these decisive proofs. All this through a search of the place and reflection around the elements discovered: clbadic, but effective! And a final twist really well found that makes the experience really nice. We loved it

The company Artech DECO that Kana mandated to achieve this particular escape game. With the idea of declining the project in other forms. To make it an itinerant module, to escape the escape game from major urban centers and bring it to other audiences, those of city of average size. Another way: to guide the escape game towards a child audience. An excellent idea as the demand in this sense is strong – the collections as the recent Glénat prove – and the supply still too weak.

And, as regards the world of Moriarty to make escape game size and a more clbadic playing time (three large pieces for an hour of play), probably installed in a train set with effects going in this direction. But it must still get along with Japanese rights holders. It is hoped that the project will see the light as its Japan Expo version has seduced us.
