Twenty-Four Hours after WWE Extreme Rules, Monday Night RAW takes the road to SummerSlam and prepares Brock Lesnar challenger for the title of Universal champion.
Two triple threat for a challenger
Kurt Angle is here to open Monday Night RAW and he absolutely wants to be, Brock Lesnar shows up, where agrees to defend his title of Universal champion. If he does not fulfill one of these conditions, the title will be withdrawn. Paul Heyman then intervenes and begins to present himself but Angle interrupts him.
Heyman reiterates, Brock Lesnar is not interested in the idea of defending the title. Angle explains to him that he is going to withdraw the title … Paul Heyman runs to the ring to beg him not to do it.
Finally, Heyman accepts that Brock Lesnar defends the title of Universal Champion at WWE SummerSlam next month . It only remains Angle to find a Challenger.
This is the first time Bobby Lashley chooses, explaining that he has returned to WWE for two things: beat Roman Reigns (it's done) and beat Brock Lesnar, then Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor, Elias and Roman Reigns to appear, each with their arguments to explain that they deserve to challenge Brock Lesnar.
Kurt Angle announces that they will all their luck: two Triple Threats will take place tonight, the winners of these triple threat matches will fight next week and the winner of this match will be the challenger for Brock Lesnar.
The match takes place after, the time that Kurt Angle explains behind the scenes to Baron Corbin who would have liked to be part of the equation, that he can not because he lost yesterday at WWE Extreme Rules. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns must be hilarious.
- Roman Reigns defeated Finn Bálor and Drew McIntyre with a Spear. He will be part of next week's game for challenger title Universal.
Behind the scenes, Bayley explains that she has done everything in her power to reconnect with Sasha Banks but that nothing has worked and we must face the facts: they will never be able to team up again. Kurt Angle disagrees, and announces that she will team up again with Sasha Banks tonight and that it pays to work. If a new match is seen between the two, one of them will be transferred to SmackDown.
Not Glorious Bobby Roode
Dolph Ziggler arrives in the ring alone. He boasts of his victory against Seth Rollins the day before at WWE Extreme Rules, as for the first time the Intercontinental title was the main event and it was thanks to him, not Seth Rollins. He says he respects everything Rollins does for the Intercontinental title, but that he is not Dolph Ziggler.
Bobby Roode arrives and tells him he should at least thank Drew McIntyre after all the help he has given her. He said that if he had not been, Ziggler would still be throwing funny jokes into a comedy club.
Dolph Ziggler responds by asking him what it feels like to have watched the main event by being put aside, to which Roode gladly answers that it fears. And that's why he's here tonight to challenge him for the title of Intercontinental Champion.
Ziggler accepts the match when Roode tells him he can not fight without McIntyre by his side … but ends up admitting that if the match takes place, it is not for the title Intercontinental.
- Dolph Ziggler beat Bobby Roode with a Superkick.
Behind the scenes, Bobby Lashley explains that he has what it takes to beat the beast at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Mojo Rawley pbades Bobby Roode and makes fun of him and his loss to Ziggler.
- Mojo Rawley beats Tyler Breeze with Alabama Slam
That's love (but it's pretty)
Bayley and Sasha Banks faced Alicia Fox and Dana Brooke, but the match was stopped by the referee when Alicia Fox attacked Bayley at the edge of the ring. Sasha Banks then defends Bayley and strikes her several times until Dana Brooke carries a Crossbody to the two opposing wrestlers.
Sasha Banks is backstage, who quickly puts away her belongings, joined by Bayley who asks her what just happened. Sasha Banks replies that she does not want anyone to beat her. Baley tells her that it's probably because she cares about her (chelou).
Sasha Banks says yes, she cares about her. She likes the fact that Bayley is a nice person, that she loves everyone, that girls adore her, but she does not understand how it is that she does not realize anything. Sasha Banks ends by saying that she loves Bayley, and that she will always love him (Chelou's Chelou).
In an interview, Renee Young asks Braun Strowman if he regrets something about the match against Kevin Owens the day before at WWE Extreme Rules, in which he threw him from the top of the cage. Strowman replies that he simply regrets not being able to congratulate Owens on his victory.
Renee Young also asks why he did not appear at the beginning of the episode among all those who want to become a challenger for the title Universal . Silly question that Strowman answers that he does not need it since he was Mr Money In The Bank.
- The B-Team beat The Ascension in a match largely dominated by them but won by Axel and Dallas with their combination of neckbreaker and backdrop
Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt announce to the B-Team that the rematch for the RAW Team Champion titles they won the day before at WWE Extreme Rules will be place next week
Ronda Rousey against Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam
Alexa Bliss arrives in the ring with Mickie James. She explains that despite the fact that not all chances were with her, she managed to beat Nia Jax. She says that she beat all the women in the locker room, and that Ronda Rousey is not there because she is suspended. She spoke too fast.
Ronda Rousey appears at the top of the audience, going down the steps ready to join her in the ring. Alexa Bliss wishes a good evening to the public and decides to leave very quickly asking everyone to drive carefully because she is nice like that Alexa Bliss. But the champion did not leave fast enough and is caught by Ronda Rousey, who tries to attack Mickie James but referees prevent it. She then grabs Alexa Bliss and trailed her into the ring, but the referees pick her up while Kurt Angle arrives.
RAW general manager tells Ronda Rousey that she should go home and finish her last two days of suspension. Constable Baron Corbin who followed him added that Ronda Rousey was to be punished for his actions. Angle agrees, and adds a week to his suspension, which still does not suit Corbin who threatens to call Stephanie McMahon … but does not find his mobile phone that he had actually taken Kurt Angle.
Finally, while Corbin is out looking for his phone, Kurt Angle announces to Ronda Rousey that she will have a match against Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam for the title of RAW champion.
In an interview, Seth Rollins explains that this Sunday at WWE Extreme Rules it was not his day, but that Monday is. He is determined to win the second triple threat and hopes to become Universal Champion. He adds that he is not afraid to go face Roman Reigns if necessary.
- The Authors of Pain defeat Titus Worldwide by falling with the Last Chapter on Apollo Crews. It was the pose of your brain.
- Sarah Logan beats Ember Moon by fallen thanks to a small intervention of Liv Morgan who distracted Ember Moon who ended stunned knocked on one of the pole of the ring. It was Sarah Logan's first solo win, it was time
Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns II next week
The second triple threat for a spot in the No. 1 challenger match next week will be place in the main event of this episode. But before, a song of Elias, participating in the match. Elias even tries to sell us his album coming out next week.
- Bobby Lashley beats Elias and Seth Rollins with a Spear on Elias who wanted to take advantage of a Lashley struggling in the ring after removing Rollins. Bad luck, Lashley had enough strength for a Spear
Bobby Lashley is the second qualifier for the match next week and will find Roman Reigns he beat the day before at WWE Extreme Rules. A kind of rematch … but with an issue this time. Would not they have finally been able to propose the place of challenger this Sunday?
