The first notes of music rose in the Spadois sky on the stroke of 13:00 with the performance of Geneviève Laloy, first artist to perform in the 25th edition of the Francofolies that will be held until July 22.
Between 150 and 200 people were waiting patiently in front of the entrance on Place Foch, the only access to this great Francofous village, which now includes the five scenes of the festival and where some 20,000 people are expected this Thursday. For its 25th anniversary, the festival spadois offers a makeover with a completely redesigned layout since the festival now runs only in the park of Seven Hours, with five scenes well separated to avoid a cacophony of notes when two concerts are held at the same time, recreational areas for children, a space privatized by a sponsor who had sunbeds to enjoy the sun, a flavor space to eat.
The festival will have to reclaim the place and find its bearings but it will have, near each scene, shaded places to fully enjoy the concerts and more particularly on the Trace scene, which has a green space protected from the sun.
The main development lies in the removal of the scene Pierre Rapsat Place Royale, just in front of the Radisson. If Saint-James Hiphoptronics will have the honor of wiping the casts, the Francofous also wait for the Gold of the Common (4:45 pm), Romeo Elvis & The Motel (19:30) but especially Lost Frequencies, exclusively on the festival spadois as of 10:45 pm.
This new provision now allows to completely ventilate the city center which, for two years and the attacks of Nice, looked like a fortified city the space of four days. The center now finds its festive spirit with a royal street totally closed to traffic and invaded by terraces that also abound in a pedestrian that will often be stormed by festival-goers and other onlookers come to enjoy the special atmosphere of the festival .
