The HBO program director gave some information about the upcoming season and the spin-offs.
the last season of "Game of Thrones" has not been announced yet, but HBO President Casey Bloys has given some details. The last six episodes will air in the first half of 2019. What is the future of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister? "It's rather great" was he content to say, without wishing to let the slightest detail on the next season.
The chain already prepares after "Game of Thrones". HBO has already selected a pilot for a "prequel", which will run thousands of years before the events of the current series. It would focus on the "Long Night," the period of Westeros' story during which humans fought the White Walkers for the first time. Casey Bloys was rather confident, believing that filming could start next year. "Beyond this spin-off, no plan was made"
HBO was also working on four other spin-offs with different screenwriters. According to Casey Bloys, some projects are still relevant while others have been abandoned. He did not want to divulge more details.
