This Sunday afternoon was hectic at the Rue du Bois Planté in Marcinelle. The Charleroi police intervened after a big altercation between Travelers and farmers broke out. Furious at seeing dozens of caravans settle on his land, the son of a farmer's family ordered travelers to leave his property. The latter did not appreciate the way they beat him … with a golf club!
The travelers had a habit, when they returned to the carolo region, to settle on the empty lots bordering Marcinelle Park City. From now on, clods delimit these lands, thus preventing caravans from getting there.
