Michelin announced Thursday that it is in exclusive discussions with the main shareholders of the Camso Group based in Quebec, with a view to acquiring the entire capital.
The Camso group, which employs approximately 7,500 employees, specializes in off-road market for certain types of tires and crawlers for the handling (forklift), construction and agricultural industries. It also manufactures products for ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles.
The company has three R & D centers, in addition to 22 manufacturing plants located in 10 countries across North and South America, Europe (Belgium and Italy) and Asia.
