The new tablet of Microsoft is precise. In May, Bloomberg revealed that the Redmond publisher wanted to complete its Surface range with a 10-inch model at a low price, around $ 400. Those who hoped that the supplier would integrate an Intel Core M or Intel Core i processor may to be disappointed. Apparently, the new iPad-killer only has a Pentium processor. The tablet would be available in several variants. The cheapest would probably be equipped with Pentium Silver N5000 chips (Gemini Lake architecture). The most expensive would benefit from Pentium Gold 4410Y or 4415Y chip (Kaby Lake architecture). In both cases, there is nothing to dream about. Admittedly, it's better than an Intel Atom chip. This will be enough to surf the web, take notes and watch Netflix, but will hardly go beyond.

WinFuture.de thinks to have unearthed performance tests of these new Surface in the databases of GeekBench, under the code names OEMTX EV1 and OEMTX EV1 LTE. These two mysterious products are computers equipped with Pentium Gold 4410Y and 4415Y processors, with a memory of 8 GB and the Windows 10 Pro system.
No date of marketing is known for the moment. This should, however, be imminent. Microsoft has already filed a file with the FCC. In addition, Microsoft would have done last week the first marketing briefings on this product.
