Corning announced the release of its Gorilla Glbad DX and DX + protective glbades

Protective lens manufacturer Corning recently unveiled its Gorilla Glbad 6 which will make mobile devices that use it much more resistant. The company also designs protective glbades for connected watches and has announced Gorilla Glbad DX and Gorilla Glbad DX +. As with smartphones, we can expect to see Corning's latest products on new connected watches.

Since connected watches are often used outdoors, Corning has focused on the readability of its Gorilla Glbad . Both types of lenses have anti-reflective properties that improve visibility, but also offer superior scratch resistance. The two new lens versions are an extension of previous Gorilla Glbad SR + models.

Compared to standard lenses, Corning says Gorilla Glbad DX and DX + lenses improve readability of the display by 75% and increase the contrast ratio of the screen by 50% at the same brightness level.

The level of scratch resistance is the main point of differentiation between the Gorilla Glbad DX and the DX +. The DX + version offers scratch resistance close to that of "materials found on luxury watches."
