At the opening of the site, some 20,000 festival-goers arrived on the brand new space designed by the organization of the Dour Festival. Twenty concerts including those of Mr. Oizo, Diplo, Juicy and the Belgian Selah Sue (acoustic) are scheduled for the evening from Wednesday to Thursday.

We see a great fluidity, even the strike of the SNCB does not seem to have a real impact on the arrival of our festival-goers ", rejoices Damien Dufrasne, the organizer of the festival. " The site is a little more linear, it allows a better fluidity for the public and for the organization. Campsites are closer to the site "he notes," impatient "to have the first returns of festival-goers.

On Wednesday evening, nearly 30,000 people had already pitched their tent in campsites. Until Sunday, the festival will present an eclectic program by focusing on both discoveries and values.

Security side, more than 1,000 police officers from the Hauts-Pays, neighboring areas and police The federal forces will be mobilized for the duration of the event, which is close to 150 police officers present daily around the site. Various controls, inside and outside the Dour festival will be organized, including the support of detection dogs.

For its part, the Red Cross announced that the Dourois festival was one of its largest in Wallonia with 130 rescuers a day for the duration of the festival.

Last year, the festival of Dour broke a new record with 242,000 people for five days
