Only the Seraing section spoke. The other three sections (Ougrée, Jemeppe and Boncelles) have yet to meet. They could make another choice

While La Meuse announces this morning the appointment of the councilor Laura Crapanzano as future head of PS list in Seraing to replace Bourgmestre Alain Mathot, things probably deserve nuance. This is at least the conclusion that can be drawn after having made several contacts within the Liege PS.

A vote was actually taken on Tuesday evening to appoint Madame Crapanzano. But this vote only took place in the Seraing section. The other three socialist sections of the City have yet to express themselves. These are the sections of Jemeppe-sur-Meuse, Boncelles and Ougrée. Meetings could still take place on Tuesday. It is not certain that the other three sections make the same choice as the Seesian section.

Other candidates are announced. Walloon MP Déborah Géradon, supported by her section of Jemeppe, would not have said her last word. If the sections of Ougrée and Boncelles were to go in the same direction, Laura Crapanzano may well not get the top of the list for the next communal.

The desire to quickly designate Laura Crapanzano is seen in some socialist tenors of Liège that we contacted as a maneuver Alain Mathot to quickly identify a suitable candidate. The four socialist sections of the City of Seraing have a number of votes. If Seraing has five, Ougrée and Jemeppe have three while Boncelles has a voice.

The tension is therefore more and more palpable among the socialists Serians. The final decision may fall in the coming hours.
