The accident resulted in one casualty

Three trucks collided in the Léonard intersection junction in the direction of Namur in the early afternoon. A person was injured but his days are no longer in danger, according to the federal police who was notified of the accident at 14:08.

Firefighters in Brussels from the Delta Barracks were dispatched to the site with a pumper to perform the balancing. An ambulance transported the injured man at 3:20 pm to Chirec Hospital in Brussels

The trucks must now be cleared. This operation could take "a lot of time" according to the federal police which also specifies that a deviation has been put in place.

The accident caused the closure of the ramp connecting the Brussels ring from Zaventem to the E411 in the direction of Namur. Around 16:00, an hour and a half of traffic jams was counted, says the Flemish Traffic Control Center.

The Verkeerscentrum therefore advises motorists wishing to connect Brussels to Namur with Charleroi.

All traffic must leave the highway at Leonard junction at exit 1 Tervuren-Quatre-Bras. A deviation is then put in place.
