Sad news. The next generation of the Renault Clio will not be entitled to its RS version, because of new pollution standards introduced by the European Union. Indeed, according to the top leaders of the brand, the next Clio would not be able to meet these standards in RS version. The diamond brand has therefore preferred to put an end to its development, which represents too great a financial risk.
Renault Sport had already taken the risk of launching its new Megane RS, whose Malus in France climbed more than 1000 €. Nevertheless, sales are at the rendezvous. However, the manufacturer will not take any risk for the Clio.
