The shooting of "Star Wars: Episode IX" is scheduled to begin next week, Disney said Friday, revealing, to everyone's surprise, the posthumous appearance during this episode of Carrie Fisher and the presence of the star of the Mark Hamill series, aka Luke Skywalker
The latest installment of the saga – which debuted with "Star Wars: Episode IV" – A New Hope (Star Wars) – is due out in December 2019.

"Find a satisfactory conclusion to the wise Skywalker without she escaped us. We were never going to start casting again or use a computer-generated virtual character, "he said.
Disney said Carrie Fisher's appearance would be allowed by using previous, unreleased footage filming the seventh episode, with the approval of his daughter, Billie Heavy
It will not be the first time that Carrie Fisher will appear in a Star Wars movie while not being filmed.
