According to a new survey conducted by Ceatus Media Group, a health marketing company, via its Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery portal, nearly 73% of respondents show criticism of their appearance at the sight of their portraits . Sixty-six percent of respondents say they are more likely to consider cosmetic surgery after observing their selfies (while 86% of them never used this kind of procedure).

The survey shows as well as 67% of respondents modify their photos using filters and 55% are worried about the appearance of their skin, their complexion and their weight on the photographs.

" These observations, which have never been made before, are very enlightening ," according to Ceatus CEO Dr. David Evans. "N results suggest that photographic retouching sometimes serves as a bridge between selfies and surgery ."

It should be noted that the majority of participants are 41 years of age or older and prefers Facebook and Instagram to other social networks. Another recent survey, conducted by the American information platform Zalea (devoted to cosmetic surgery), has also found that 40% of millennials have either undergone surgery or is considered to undergo a cosmetic surgery.
