The chapel Sainte – Anne de Battignies has undergone major renovation work on the facade. This old chapel of Gothic style, was built between the 16th and 17th centuries on the former territory of Battignies. The residents wondered about the future and the maintenance of the chapel which was clbadified as a heritage monument of the Walloon Region in 1936. The construction started on September 28, 2017. The works that were carried out had to be, initially, maintenance (small repairs on the roof, zinc works, repair of the door and repair of cracks in masonry). Given the reality of the site, the siding of the chapel was cleaned of pollution by scrubbing and all joints were hollowed out and rejoined. This gives a new look to the building. Only the interior structure of the door has been preserved and partly restored with the application of a new floor. The total works amount to 20.431 € including VAT
