Delhaize Luxembourg asks to his customers to bring back in store the product "goji berries 200g" of the following lots:
LOT 1: 8057007 – DDM 28/12/2018
LOT 2: 8057008 – DDM 25/01/2019
We were informed via control and badysis of the FASFC (Belgian Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain – Belgian Agency) that these two lots were found to be non-compliant as regards the nicotine residues, higher than the norm. The rate badyzed may be a risk to the consumer, particularly to children.
This is why Delhaize asks its customers to bring the affected lots back to their Delhaize store, where they will be reimbursed for their purchase.
In the meantime Delhaize has already removed all affected products from the shelves and has tightened controls over the product and the supplier. Customers who bought this product are asked not to consume it. Customers have the option of bringing the product back to the point of sale where they purchased it. The reimbursement of each item concerned is guaranteed.
The other products of the same badortment "dried fruits" are not concerned and can therefore be consumed safely. Delhaize would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused.
