The head of the MR list will have to campaign without Yvan de Beauffort
In Schaerbeek, the MR list led by the ex-alderman Georges Verzin was approved last Friday by 84% of the general badembly of the section
As announced a few days ago, this list composed of activists and citizens will not count in its ranks Yvan de Beauffort who decided not to present himself, without however giving up to support the MR. Presented later, the list will be pushed by Angelina Chan, in 47th place. The theme of the MR's campaign will be "Bring Schaerbeek together to succeed Schaerbeek".
To do this, the MR and Citizens List aims to create economic and social development for everyone and the well-being of all, revive the local economy and support independents, traders and middle clbades; reduce taxes and promote the digitalisation of services provided by the city
It wants "to reactivate a real police of proximity on the whole territory of the commune, to completely revise the mobility on the whole territory; to allow more parking for the inhabitants who need it, to restore cleanliness, and to apply zero tolerance for incivility "
Other objectives: to urgently renovate all unhealthy social housing and promote sustainable housing development well integrated into the urban fabric. MR and Citizens is ready to contribute to the work of a future communal majority.
In Schaerbeek, the Liberals have not appeared in united front since 2012. Part of them, the Schaerbeek Liberals, are present on the list of Mayor Bernard Clerfayt (DEFI, former FDF) and make their voices heard in the majority, without the support of the MR, since the split FDF-MR.
