Another complicated day Sunday for travelers to leave or arrive in Montparnbade: the SNCF will ensure one train out of two and the situation may deteriorate further by the full recovery of electricity from the station scheduled for Thursday. The SNCF has called on RTE to find a solution as soon as possible to allow normal operation of the Paris station, and in any case before the date of Thursday, August 2 announced by the manager of the high voltage network.

The Electrical Station Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine) which feeds Montparnbade, was severely damaged Friday by a still unexplained fire, RTE discarding a priori a voluntary act. The delay of almost a week for a return to a normal power supply from the station prompted the government to open a "fact-finding mission". Meanwhile, the traffic forecast for Sunday is deteriorating compared to Saturday, where two thirds of the trains have circulated.

"The service that we can ensure tomorrow (Sunday) is a little less than 50% to because of equipment constraints ", warned Saturday Rachel Picard, CEO of SNCF Voyages. The maintenance workshop of TGV trains near Montparnbade is, in fact, no longer supplied with electricity. "There are some oars that we can not go out because they are not safe for our pbadengers, that's why the duration of the incident is critical," she said.

The incident on Friday disrupted the circulation of trains in the middle of summer crossings in the second station of France for the TGV traffic, where a breakdown had already sown the mess that same week a year ago. Some 100,000 travelers had to take a train there on Saturday. Trains maintained are now divided between Montparnbade and Austerlitz station. For those who can, the SNCF advises to postpone their trip. Tickets will be fully refunded more than three hours late.

If the departure of the TGV to Brittany and Pays de la Loire remains in Montparnbade, those from or to the Southwest are redirected to the station from Paris-Austerlitz. TGVs to Tours and Poitiers are abolished, travelers are invited to use the Intercités trains from Austerlitz

RTE has highlighted the extent of the damage on its substation to justify the time to restart. For its part, the SNCF will seek compensation from the electricity manager. "We will turn to our provider RTE to ask him to compensate us," said the CEO of the public company Guillaume Pepy on Saturday, saying that these disruptions should cost "a few million euros". RTE acknowledged its responsibility.

Nicolas Hulot, Minister of the Ecological Transition, and Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Transport, announced Saturday to launch a "mission of investigation" of the services of the State on this fire which put in before "a manifest fragility in the alternative diet of the Montparnbade station". This survey aims "to shed light on these feeding conditions and identify alternative solutions to be implemented in the future to prevent this type of situation from recurring," according to their joint statement. 19659005] (With AFP)
