The campaign launched last July 16 by the Samusocial as part of its heat wave plan for the homeless of the capital and a threat of lack of water bottles has produced its effect: the badociation has already collected a little over 25,350 bottles of water, 1,000 gourdes and nearly 10,000 euros of donations.

The first review of the video campaign launched by Samusocial is very positive. The badociation found in Nestlé Belgium the partner it was looking for. He has delivered some 21,000 bottles of water. The 1,000 gourdes were offered by Vivaqua. They will be distributed to the most mobile and autonomous people, who are able to stock up on water fountains.

For many other homeless people, the distribution of water bottles remains necessary because most are remote from urban centers, parks, squats, or along highways. Other people are unstructured, not really mobile or hesitant to move to hydrate themselves, was explained Friday to Samusocial.

The teams of the humanitarian organization ensure daily that the homeless receive enough during the summer, and especially during the last days of heat.

The 9,867 euros collected in donations of money were used exclusively for the purchase of bottles and water fountains for the reception centers.

In default of partners, the badociation had launched on July 16, a call for donations to buy a minimum of 15,000 bottles of water, necessary for the smooth running of its "heat wave" for people without Shelter

Despite the overhaul of its operation, Samusocial is still suffering from the fallout of the crisis of confidence caused by the actions of its former board of directors.

In the past, the badociation was collecting money. 15,000 to 20,000 bottles of water, distributed by the medico-social teams to the homeless as part of the heat wave plan.
