Sometime later than the two OLED models expected in September, the iPhone LCD could have finer borders.
We announced earlier in the week that, due to production, the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone could arrive in stores with a good month late. The Japanese site Macotakara, it speaks now of a postponement until November.
The site also evokes a more delightful news, claiming to have obtained information directly from the production line, revealing that the screen LCD provided by Japan Pixels would reduce the borders around the slab. These could be 0.5 mm thick only. In comparison, those of the iPhone X are 1 mm.
As a reminder, we expect the announcement in September of a second generation iPhone X and the iPhone X Plus, both equipped with slabs OLEDs. The LCD model with a 6.1-inch screen, which is more economical, would arrive perhaps one to two months late, according to the latest rumors.
