Tinder: profile videos arrive

Tinder also gives way to video by incorporating his Loops, now available in Europe.

Announced in April with test phases that first took place in Sweden and Canada, Tinder Loops are now available from us, initially on iOS only

As a reminder this new free feature allows to use very short videos to try to meet the soul mate. It is thus possible to import an existing video and to edit it to reduce it to a loop of two seconds, thus obtaining an animated GIF.

The result is similar to what offers applications like Vine or Boomerang, and seems to have a positive effect on the dating app. Techcrunch reports that the average duration of a conversion has increased by 20% among users of Loops and the functionality allowed the Japanese, who use it since June, to obtain 10% of swipe right in addition

Loops is now available in 26 countries including Belgium and France. We also expect Squares of the weeks / months to come, another new Tinder that is still in test phase, and that will allow users to find potential matches based on the places they visited, such as a park, a restaurant, a café or a cinema.
