Released in 1997, Theme Hospital is probably one of the best city-builders and management games ever released. Why ? It's simple: Bullfrog Productions has achieved a clever mix between an extremely sharp management game with multiple parameters, profitability objectives to achieve (as a good leader of a private hospital) and a totally crazy side with many imaginary diseases. This badtail made it possible to take morbid decisions without the slightest feeling, to integrate the death rate as a component of success and, above all, to laugh loudly in the face of an omnipresent humor. Today, Bullfrog alumni – tired of seeing Electronic Arts do anything for the license – have therefore launched their studio called Two Point to develop the successor of this legendary management title. We were able to handle Two Point Hospital for a few hours at SEGA's UK office. Here are our impressions!
Two Point Hospital proves to be a formidable management game, much more difficult than imagined.
