The sky will remain divided between clouds and thunderstorms on Wednesday, with showers that may develop south of the Sambre-et-Meuse valley, according to forecasts by the Royal Meteorological Institute (MRI).
A risk of hail and significant rainfall in a short time is not excluded locally. The maxima will oscillate between 21 degrees at sea, 22 to 25 degrees in the Ardennes and 26 to 29 degrees elsewhere. The wind will be weak with no preferred direction inland, and moderate from north to northeast to the coast. Following the yellow lightning and rain warning issued by the IRM, the number 1722 for firefighter response requests for non-urgent causes was reactivated.
The risk of thunderstorms will fade in the evening and during the night, even if the sky will remain partially cloudy, under minima between 12 and 17 degrees.
Thursday, the Ardennes will remain concerned by a risk of shower, while the other regions enjoy beautiful sunny periods. The maxima will reach 22 degrees at the sea and high Ardennes and 27 degrees in Kempen. The northwest wind will be weak to moderate.
Friday is a fine day with sunny spells and cloudy fields. One last shower could, however, touch the east of the country.
