The Interregional Environment Unit (Celine) is relaunching today / Friday the warning phase of its plan "High heat and ozone peaks". Based on forecasts by the Royal Meteorological Institute (MRI), maximum temperatures will exceed by several degrees the 25 ° C threshold for the next five days.
Mercury will rise to 28 ° C this Friday. After a first warning phase started on June 29, Celine reactivates Friday this phase of its action plan against the hot weather.
The thermometer will show temperatures flirting with 29 ° C in several regions of the country for the weekend, according to the MRI. The sun and heat will still be there next week with values expected beyond 30 ° C.
The "plan of strong heat and ozone peaks" consists of three phases: the phase of vigilance, warning then alert. The second, which runs from May 15 to September 30, is mainly to remind intermediaries who work with a vulnerable public (children, the sick, the elderly) advice and good reflexes.
In addition to a high mercury, ozone concentrations will be relatively high in the coming days and especially in the south-east of the country, informs Celine. However, the European information threshold of 180 micrograms of ozone per cubic meter of air should not be exceeded
