Here are some additional values, each of which may be used or omitted in any combination (unless otherwise indicated, and unless the law prohibits it) and their meanings, symmetry transitivity ] and reverse where appropriate. friendship (choose at most one)

contact
Someone with whom you know to get in touch. Often symmetrical.
acquaintance
Someone with whom you exchanged greetings and not much (if any) more – maybe a short conversation or two. Often symmetrical.
Friend
Someone to whom you are friends. A countryman, my friend, at home (boy | girl) you know. Often symmetrical.

physical

sets
Someone you met in person. Symmetrical

professional

colleague
Someone with whom a person works or works in the same organization as. Symmetrical. Generally transitive
colleague
Someone in the same field of study / activity. Symmetrical. Often transitive.

Geographical (choose at most one)

co-resident
Someone with whom you share an address. Symmetric and Transitive
Neighbor
Someone who lives nearby, perhaps only at a street address or an adjacent door. Symmetrical. Often transitive.

Family (choose at most one)

Child
The genetic offspring of a person, or someone that a person has adopted and supports. Inverse is parent
parent
Inverse of the child.
brother
Someone with whom a person shares a parent. Symmetrical. Usually transitive
union
A person you are married to. Symmetrical. Non-transitive
kin
A parent, someone you consider to be part of your extended family. Symmetrical and typically transitive.

romantic

muse
Someone who brings inspiration.
crush
Someone for whom you have a crush. No reverse
date
Anyone you frequent. Symmetrical.
sweetheart
Someone with whom you are intimate and at least somewhat engaged, typically exclusively. Symmetrical. Non-transitive

identity

me
A link to yourself at a different URL. Exclusive of all other XFN values. Mandatory symmetrical. There is an implicit "me" relationship between the contents of a directory and the directory itself.
