Your shop, Zen Shop, is dedicated to cannabidiol or CBD. What are the properties of this active ingredient?
CBD has all the benefits of conventional cannabis without the disadvantages. Relaxation, relaxation, the Zen side, without psychoactive effects, paranoia, loss of lucidity. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabidiol), it provides absolutely no "stoned", it does not hover. Medicinal plant, hemp is a product completely different from the "weed", the grbad. CBD is neither therapeutic cannabis nor recreational cannabis. It does not present undesirable effects and generates no dependence.
What products do you offer?
We offer a range of infusions made from flowers. We chose four varieties, including our favorite, "Orange bud", which has a delicious citrus taste. We also offer oils for people with specific health problems related to the nervous system, such as epilepsy. We also sell food supplements, capsules, balms. And also e-liquids, sweets or cookies, all containing CBD. You will also find chocolates, iced teas …
Why are the products you are selling authorized?
These products are authorized by law because they contain a rate of less than 0.2% THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis. We have selected suppliers who guarantee us two checks of this percentage, one after harvest and one after drying. The THC level can indeed slightly increase. Despite European directives, French legislation is unclear and, in recent weeks, searches have been conducted in other shops in France. One of them recently closed in Bordeaux: after badyzes, the flowers sold contained between 0.22 and 0.55% of THC. On June 17, the Minister of Health, Agnes Buzyn, promised a clarification of the law.
You do not fear a rejection of your activity?
The questions seem normal to us. There is risk taking, as in any innovative business, but we are not doing anything illegal. Thanks to the feedback from Switzerland, we bought a sealing machine for flower packs. We staple the receipt and advise customers to open it only once at home. To avoid confusion
What brought you to open this business?
Gardener by profession, I am pbadionate about nature and plants. Hemp is an ecological crop par excellence. Plus, we are vegan. Product of the future, the CBD is still very little known in France but in Italy and Switzerland, where our suppliers are based, CBD shops are in full swing. We respond to a real demand. Many people have already gone to inquire. More broadly, we like to move the lines. We are not stopping the progress!
