"Believe me, we have a plan"

New York Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman wants everyone to know that Big Blue has a plan in place.

In recent weeks, New York Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman has taken action that has raised eyebrows.

Earlier in March, he had decided not to use the franchise label on All-Pro safety Landon Collins. Collins finally signed a long-term deal with the Washington Redskins.

Gettleman then traded Olivier Vernon, Pro Bowl player, to the Cleveland Browns against G Kevin Zeitler. And now, Odell Beckham Jr. is officially a Brown. The Giants have decided to trade it last Tuesday against a first-round pick (17th overall), a third-round pick and S Jabrill Peppers.

On Monday, Gettleman had the opportunity to speak to the media about the steps that have been taken and what they will achieve.

"The discussions were initiated by the Browns. John [Dorsey] We knew we would not just give in to Odell … there was a lot of back and forth, "Gettleman said in a conference call with reporters.

"We did not ask Odell to exchange it, but things are changing. Another team made an offer that we could not refuse. "

"Trust me, we have a plan," said General Manager Big Blue. "Everyone wants answers now."

"You have to trust me."

Many people were crazy that Gettleman and the Giants had decided to get rid of Vernon, Collins and Beckham, but had kept Eli Manning quarterback for the 2019 season. This is Manning's 16th year as a quarterback of the NFL, and many want the Giants to find their successor.

Big Blue has 12 choices in this upcoming NFL draft. With two in the first round (sixth and seventeenth), the giants have clearly the way to rebuild the organization. One of these two first choices could also be used to find the quarter of the future.
