Cody Bellinger was not in training the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, a day after being separated from his shoulder against the San Diego Padres.
Bellinger said his right shoulder had "jumped" before reappearing immediately while he was trying to dive to stop a ground ball at first base. He stayed in the game and later said the same thing happened once last year.
Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that the Dodgers would see if there was any pain before Saturday's game.
Bellinger leads the majors in points, shots, runs, batting average, base percentage, slugging, OPS and total.
Alex Verdugo takes the start on the right for the Dodgers on Saturday as Enrique Hernandez debuts at the center.
