Ben Affleck returns as Batman in Flash movie

Vanity Fair reports that another Batman will be in the next Shine movie, probably join The beloved incarnation of Michael Keaton of the dark knight by Tim Burton Batman movies. This time it’s … well, now second– the most recent actor to don the hood: Ben Affleck, who played the caped crusader in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League before stepping down from the role Last year, after years of speculation about its release.

According to Muschietti, although Flash is clearly Barry’s story, Affleck’s Bruce Wayne will play an important role in the young hero’s emotional story, not only acting as a mentor he can bond with during this eternal shared superhero experience –dead parents– but will act as a baseline for the bats when Multiversal Madness gives poor young Barry a second Batman to deal with. But the presence of Keaton and Affleck in Flash is far more important than fan service or even Barry’s trip. According to Muschietti, this heralds Warner Bros. approach to a multiverse of interpretations of DC characters in the largest possible way.

“This movie is a bit of a pivotal point in the sense that it presents a story that involves a unified universe where all of the cinematic iterations we’ve seen before are valid,” Muschietti continued. “It’s inclusive in the sense that it means that everything you have seen exists, will see exists, in the same unified multiverse.
