Conservative media host Ben Shapiro criticized MSNBC commentator Malcolm Nance for arguing for a critical race theory when he had “made it” in American society.
In a Friday interview on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Shapiro broke down the intricacies of critical race theory and what it challenges the United States socially, politically and economically.

“Critical Race Theory basically holds that racism is ingrained in all systems of American society and that any sort of neutral system is in fact a pretext for racial power,” Shapiro said.
“Even things that are supposedly good, in terms of race, as long as they stand up for these larger systems, things like capitalism, things like meritocracy, these things are just pretexts for power,” a- he continued. “And so, in practical terms, any disparity is tantamount to discrimination.

Shapiro fired back and said, “You seem to be a pretty good beneficiary of meritocracy because you have merit.”
