Ben Shapiro, Conservative host, targets death threats, FBI stops

Ben Shapiro, a conservative talk show host and editor of The Daily Wire, has been the target of serious death threats and the suspect has just been arrested … TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement officials tell us that Shapiro, who appears frequently in cable TV channels and has an extremely popular podcast, has filed a police report with the LAPD. We were told that the threats were not only for Shapiro, but also for his family. He is married and father of a girl.

We are told that the department has contacted the FBI and created a joint task force to track down the culprit.

Our sources say that a man was arrested Wednesday in the state of Washington for uttering these threats.

We were told that these threats were "extremely serious" … not just someone who was venting.

Shapiro recently created a stench by suggesting in his radio show that Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar "many of the same opinions about the Jews as the white supremacist had in this manifesto." He was referring to the attack on the synagogue in the San Diego area in which the gunman had killed a woman and injured several others.
