Ben Simmons could already have played his last game in the Philadelphia 76ers uniform. There have already been several reports of the Sixers’ efforts to try to trade the triple All-Star following another disappointing campaign for Philly.
Ultimately, Simmons could be on his way to California, with the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers all emerging as potential landing points for the 25-year-old (h / t sports gifts on Twitter):
Ben Simmons’ relationship reportedly “beyond repair” ignores phone calls from Joel Embiid. Doesn’t want to be traded for Raptors or Blazers. Open to be traded to one of the California teams according to @JDumasReports on @ 957lejeu pic.twitter.com/ouFTf7eBnw

The above report contains a handful of bombs, with Simmons’ ghost Joel Embiid and the Sixers likely taking the top spot here. It is also stated in the report that Ben crossed out the Portland Trail Blazers and the Toronto Raptors as potential destinations.
However, what needs to be discussed here is how Simmons seems to prefer to be traded to “one of the California teams”. The Warriors have already been linked with a swoop for the Aussie, so they’re probably in pole position right now. However, the Lakers and Clippers are also from California, so they should be in contention as well. Technically, the Sacramento Kings are also a California team, so could they be in the mix as well?
What is clear here is that Simmons seems adamant about making his way out of Philly. There had been previous reports of the Sixers front office considering turning back on Ben Simmons’ trade, but at this point it appears that ship has sailed.
