The past week has been filled with twists and turns and unnecessary violence. Benny The Butcher, unfortunately, is another victim.
According to TMZ, the Griselda rapper was recently shot in the leg during an attempted robbery at a Walmart in Houston, Texas. “Houston PD tells TMZ… that the New York rapper was in town on Saturday and was visiting a local Walmart with a few friends in tow,” the newspaper claims. “As they were in their car in the parking lot, we were told that a car with five guys inside pulled up beside them and pulled out weapons… demanding their chains.
Reports continue that the thieves felt that Benny and his team weren’t moving at a fast enough pace and after getting impatient, one of the attackers shot the MC in the leg. This scared off the other thieves, as well as Benny and his team. Once they felt safe, they pulled over and called the cops.
At the time of this article, Benny’s condition is unknown and his thieves have yet to be arrested. However, a police investigation has already started.
This shooting news is eerily similar to that of Boosie. As many remember, the Louisiana rapper was also reportedly shot in the leg on Saturday (November 14) – which was his birthday as well; in Dallas, Texas. According to reports and eyewitnesses, he was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Big T Plaza when a shooting, of which he was not a part, took place.
After Boosie was hit, he was quickly taken to hospital to treat his gunshot wound. The rapper is said to have traveled to Dallas to attend the funeral of fallen rapper Mo3, who was signed to Boosie. Earlier this year, the two abandoned their full project Badazz MO3.
We hope Benny will recover quickly.
