Bentley celebrates 100 years. Rather than revisiting the past, the company is looking to the future with the electric concept and autonomous EXP 100 GT. Inaugurated today at Bentley 's headquarters in Crewe, this unique concept imagines an ultra chic grand traveler for the year 2035. And it' s breathtaking from every angle.
The concept of the EXP 100 GT combines iconic Bentley elements with futuristic features. The massive mesh grille (composed of 6,000 LED bulbs), separated by a thin piece of copper, gives the frontal fascia an incomparable expression. The rounded and beveled headlamps give up Bentley's traditional twin-cockpit configuration to offer something simpler. But through all this, an identifying feature remains: the Flying B. mounted on the hood.
The remarkably uncluttered EXP 100 GT is 5.8 meters long by 2.4 meters wide and tilts at 1,188 kilograms (4,188 pounds), even with an aluminum and carbon fiber body. The sloping, sloping roofline (inspired in part by the iconic R-Type Continental) seamlessly extends into the rear valance. Copper and silver accents cover the outline of the window, the windshield and parts of the roof. The silver roof compensates the new finish "Compass" Bentley.
But this Bentley is more than a pretty face. Hidden beneath all this beautiful bodywork is a 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Newton-meters) electric powertrain with battery, which propels the EXP 100 GT to 96 km / h in 60 seconds speed to 186 miles per hour (300 kilometers per hour). Even with all this power, the concept still manages a range of 700 kilometers on a single charge. Bentley also states that he can recover up to 80% of his consumption in just 15 minutes by charging quickly.

Driving the EXP 100 GT is optional (in theory). The Bentley's intelligently artificial personal assistant – located in the center console and identifiable via a crystal-illuminated – controls of course five distinct autonomous driving modes. "Enhance" attracts the entrances from the outside, "Cocoon" envelopes the driver and passenger in purified air and opaque glass, "Re-Live" retransmits highlights from past trips and "Customize "combines all four, but is interchangeable based on passenger information.
The five driving modes allow passengers to sit and lounge in a high-end interior while keeping their hands behind the wheel. The cabin, covered with a mixture of leather, recovered wood with inlays of copper, wool (yes, wool), and aluminum, is definitely chic. But all the materials used in the interior are ecological. Bentley calls sustainable innovation.

Bentley does not intend to build the EXP 100 GT in its current form. But the radical concept serves as inspiration for Bentley's design and technology.
