Berkshire Hathaway of Warren Buffett unveils a $ 900 million Amazon stake

Berkshire Hathaway revealed the size of his stake in Amazon in a regulatory filing Wednesday, a few weeks after Warren Buffett had touted the e-commerce giant and CEO, Jeff Bezos.

Buffett held 483,300 Amazon shares valued at $ 860.6 million at the end of its last quarter on March 31, according to document 13F. At current stock prices, the stake is worth more than $ 900 million.

Buffett confirmed the company's investment in Amazon at Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholders meeting earlier this month, but did not initially reveal the size of the stake. The Oracle of Omaha told CNBC at the time that one of its employees had made the decision.

"I've been a fan [of Amazon]and I was stupid not to buy, "he said.

In addition to his participation in Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway is also a partner in the leading e-commerce and investment bank JP Morgan Chase in a health initiative. Nicknamed "Haven," the company aims to reduce healthcare costs and improve employee benefits.

Berkshire Hathaway also announced an increase in its investments in J.P. Morgan Chase, Delta Air Lines and the Red Hat cloud computing company. The company has reduced its interests in Wells Fargo and Southwest Airlines.
