He added that he transformed the image into sweatshirts and t-shirts, which he sells in his campaign store, with 100% of the proceeds going to Vermont charities focused on fighting hunger.
“What we’re doing here in Vermont is we’re going to be selling sweatshirts and T-shirts all over the country. And all the money that is raised, which I think will be a few million dollars, will go to programs like meals on wheels that feed low-income seniors, ”Sanders said. “So it turns out to be a good thing, actually, and not just a fun thing.”
