The Nintendo Switch OLED model will be released tomorrow. If you already own a Switch, the upgrade might not be worth it; But if you’re looking to buy the latest Switch model, Best Buy will have the console in stock tomorrow, according to its website.
Heading to the Nintendo Switch OLED landing page, Best Buy has a countdown to prepare for the release of the hybrid game console. We’ve reached out to Best Buy to find out when restockings will be firmly available, but the countdown implies that it could be available when the timer hits zero.
The landing page offers listings for both the OLED White and Neon Red / Neon Blue Switch consoles, although there are also a ton of new listings, bundling one of the Switch OLED colors with either a carrying case, a copy of Metroid Dread (also coming out tomorrow), or all three elements together.
The Nintendo Switch OLED was originally announced in July and features a slightly larger OLED display. The new Switch model uses the same specs as the base Nintendo Switch, so it’s not the “Switch Pro” many had long hoped for.
In our Nintendo Switch OLED review, I praised the slightly larger and brighter screen. despite recycling the same graphics and processing power, making it easier to play in bright sunlight. And that the console was a major upgrade for those who primarily play the Switch in portable or tabletop mode.
