LEBANON, Tennessee (WTVF) – Wyatt Close and Brandon Thompson were driving to work together on Friday October 1 when they visited the QuikTrip on Sparta Pike in Lebanon.

Thompson decided that morning to split the cost of a few lottery tickets with Close. Thompson almost backed down but agreed to put the tickets in, and he’s glad he did.

The store didn’t have the game Close had her eye on, so Close bought two Jumbo Bucks Titanium Instant Tickets and drove them back to the van.

“This was about his fourth ticket he has ever bought. I’ve bought them on and off since I was 18. I’ve never had such luck, though,” Close said.

Close and Thompson were ready to try their luck last week. But Close wouldn’t call it luck – more of a blessing.

“One of the guys over there said he had two more $ 30 tickets, so we ended up buying those tickets and about three more, I can’t remember which ones were,” Close said.

The buddies went to a few gas stations looking for a particular lottery ticket and when they entered Lebanon’s they came out much richer.

“I just told him to scratch the ticket, let’s see what it is, you know, we went down and scratched it and I saw a big bold black number, so it was just a new feeling.” , Close said.

Close says it was an amazing feeling.

“I was jumping up and down, he was also excited. I don’t know it was just a feeling that I had never had before,” he said.

The $ 30 bill turned into a gain of $ 3 million, and when asked the teenager what he wanted to buy with his new income, Close once declared a house in the County of Wilson.

“I haven’t spent too much yet. I’ve bought, bought a razor so far, that’s about all I’ve spent money on,” Close said .

At just 19 years old, Close has his own car detailing business. With these wins, he says he wants to play smart and advises others in this situation to do the same.

“I have a lot of money, I’m going to put it into the right amount of stuff and see a big comeback in a few years of course,” he said.

Close has a CPA to help him make financial decisions, but for now, he says he doesn’t want to keep trying his luck.
