We reached the month of September, which means that the seasons are changing all over the world. New Releases is here to highlight some of the biggest games coming this month. You can take a snowy retreat with the Iceborne Extension of Monster Hunter World or a getaway on an island with The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. You can also stay inside and get to the basketball court with NBA 2K20. Finally, shooters will be able to play Locust in Gears 5 or Calypso Twins in Borderlands 3.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne – September 6th
Available on: PS4, Xbox One
Iceborne adds the new Hoarfrost Reach area to the New World and is packed with snow, ice and new monsters to shoot. This extension also adds a Master Rank difficulty to those of you who have already defeated all the huntings at the highest level. If you have not yet finished exploring the main area of the game, make no mistake: you will always see favorite monsters from the fans adding to this part of the game.

NBA 2K20 – September 6th
Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch
This year's 2K basketball game offers the usual dose of modes such as MyCareer, MyGM, MyLeague and MyTeam, but the biggest addition is a first: you can finally play with the 12 teams of the WNBA. If you need a break on the basketball court, there are many ways to dedicate time (and money) to the chests to lose and the game's game mechanics.

Gears 5 – 10 September
Available on: Xbox One, PC
Gears 5 focuses on Kait Diaz, who will learn more about her own family's story when she will discover the Desert Locust's origins. Gears 5 offers standard campaign and multiplayer options, but big changes have been made to other modes this time around. On the one hand, the Horde mode gives each character unique abilities and ultimate attacks – there's even a pair of Halo: Reach characters in the mix. Characters also benefit from special benefits in the new Escape Mode, a three-player cooperative experience in which you need to destroy Locust hives.

Borderlands 3 – 13 September
Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC
New characters are also to be discovered in Borderlands 3. Amara the Mermaid, Moze the Gunner, Zane the operator and FL4K the Beastmaster are your vault hunters for his adventure. You will not be looking for Vaults on Pandora, however; for the first time, you will be able to visit other planets aboard Sanctuary III. As usual, expect to find a ridiculous amount of guns when you face the evil Calypso Twins.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening – September 20th
Available on: Switch
This is a remake of Link's Awakening on the Game Boy. Although it offers the same story and dungeons as on Koholint Island, there is also a fresh artistic style, a redesigned soundtrack, and even a special dungeon editor. Tap an Amiibo and you'll unlock additional mini-games and rooms for this dungeon builder.
