The first British Disney's The Lion King presented not one, but two women of royalty – in familiar terms, anyway.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, met none other than Beyoncé – Queen Bey as her fans ordered – and people frankly freak out because of the encounter.
Beyoncé, who plays the role of Nala in Disney's remake, attends several previews of The Lion King as the film has been rolled out to different markets around the world.
The Duchess of Sussex, meanwhile, is technically still on maternity leave after giving birth to Archie, his son with Prince Harry, in May. would have decided to assist The Lion King first on Sunday.
On social media, fans were naturally excited about the meeting between the two women – especially the hug that Meghan had offered to Queen Bey.
The meeting between the two extremely famous women comes after Beyoncé has repeatedly greeted Meghan on social media in recent months. In February, the singer posted a video with the Duchess in the background when she accepted a BRIT Award for Best International Group with her husband Jay Z.
Beyoncé even summoned Meghan on her official website during Black History Month, congratulating the American-born Duchess on her pregnancy.
"Meghan has brought many black traditions to her royal wedding, including a Chicago-based black pastor, an incredible gospel choir and a young black cellist," reads Beyoncé's website. "At the wedding, her culture was in the foreground and she and Prince Harry continued to advance dialogue on interracial relations, both near and far."
