Beyoncé launches new images to ring in the new year: TheGrio

2020 has been a difficult year for millions of people across the country.

However, music superstar Beyonce made the most of it. The music superstar posted a video message to her fans on New Years Day, encouraging them to have a great New Year and highlighting all of her accomplishments of the past 12 months.

The video is a multimedia mixture of music videos, films and heartfelt images of herself and her children, Blue Ivy and the Rare twins, Mr. and Rumi. More than just a celebration of oneself, the four-minute montage also features clips of advocacy for voting and acts of service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The video begins with its ringtone in 2020 a year ago at a New Year’s Eve celebration with the caption “Cheers for 2020”. It includes references to the 24 Grammy Award winner’s milestones, including Golden Globe Awards appearances and Ivy Park launches through his collaboration with Adidas. There are also clips from his Disney + movie Black is king and his number one Billboard collaboration with Megan Thee stallion on his remix “Savage”.

Even with a year filled with senior professionals, Beyoncé has included her acts of service as well. These include initiatives for testing for COVID-19, promoting early voting in the 2020 election, grants for black-owned businesses, advocating for police reform in the wake of the killings George floyd and Breonna Taylorand won the humanitarian award at the 2020 BET Awards

In the caption of the video, she wrote, “2020 has divided and united us. Most could not see loved ones and we felt too much loss, but we were united in our humanity.

She went on to give hope and encouragement to her legion of fans, known as “Beyhive”, writing, “Celebrate that you are an important person who contributes to our beautiful collective. Here’s a better and brighter 2021! “
