After the 2020 dumpster fire, Beyoncé knew the perfect gift to give her fans was a throwback to the 2020 global icon.
For her end-of-year roundup, Queen Bey shared never-before-seen footage (at Beyhive) of herself and Jay-Z’s twins Rumi and Sir and her daughter Blue Ivy. She concluded in the caption that “2020 has divided and united us.” Adding: “Most could not see loved ones and we felt too much loss, but we were united by our humanity.”
She added, “This year has been for me to celebrate joy, chase happiness and live in love. As we all look forward to and pray for a fresh start, I want you to honor yourself and those you love. Celebrate that you are an important person who contributes to our beautiful collective. Here is a better and brighter 2021! ”
In the video, you can see Queen Bey driving a golf cart with the adorable twins, who will turn 4 this year. Beyoncé can then be heard asking Rumi: “What do you think of your summer this year?” Did you have a good summer? Yeah? What did you do?
The video also showcases the artist’s accomplishments from 2020, including the jump on the “Savage Remix,” which has directly helped families affected by COVID-19. The clip shared in the video pays tribute to Adrienne Samuels Gibbs.
