Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, eight, tells audiobook for children’s story Hair Love

At just eight years old, Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter already has a whole list of accomplishments, having appeared on Mum’s Songs and even winning a BET Award.

And now the pint-sized star has told the audiobook version of Hair Love, a sweet story about a father learning how to style his daughter’s hair.

Creator Matthew Cherry shared the news on his Instagram on Monday, posting a quick snippet of the audio and writing, “ Our Hair Love audiobook is live. Reported by Blue Ivy Carter. Link in bio and available wherever audiobooks are sold. ‘

Hair Love was released as a short film in 2019, winning an Oscar at the 2020 Oscars.

The story was published as a children’s book with illustrations by Vashti Harrison in May.

The short has caught the attention of HBO Max who are currently developing an animated TV show based on the characters of Hair Love called Young Love.

Blue Ivy’s audiobook performance could make her a Grammy nominee.

The spoken word categories are often dominated by high-profile projects, making the combination of Oscar accolades and celebrity power a recipe for success.

It wouldn’t be Blue’s first trophy, however.
