Don’t worry, she’s fine!

A fire at a New Orleans mansion believed to be owned by Beyoncé and Jay-Z is under arson investigation, and before you ask, yes: everyone is fine. Details are scarce, but no injuries have been reported and the fire is extinguished.

The one-alarm fire broke out on Wednesday evening and required the extinction of 22 firefighters. On Thursday, the New Orleans Police Department said its officers had been notified of a “suspicious person” near the mansion when the blaze started, and although they have so far refused to disclose many other details, the police believe the cause is simple arson.

Regarding the connection with Beyoncé, NBC reports that the owner listed on the mansion’s property records (Sugarcane LLC) shares a mailing address with the singer’s Parkwood Entertainment LLC. While the couple have not confirmed that this 13,292-square-foot Garden District home was theirs, Curbed NOLA first spotted the connection in 2015. I don’t know where Beyoncé (or Jay-Z, by the way) right now, but they also have homes in New York City, Los Angeles, and the Hamptons. We will update as we learn more.
