Beyond the meat, the CEO is tackling shortages while "Impossible Foods is struggling"

While Impossible Foods is facing shortages, Beyond Meat's CEO said his company's efforts to meet the demand were over.

This week, Impossible Foods said in a statement that it was facing a shortage of staff to try to meet the demand soon after Burger King announced its intention to roll out herbal meat substitutes through plants in the United States. According to Eater, some restaurants, as a result of Impossible Burgers, were looking for other herbal options, including their rival Beyond Burgers.

Beyond the meat, Beyond Meat had to face problems similar to those faced by his rival.

The meat substitute company has faced shortages in 2017 and 2018, A & W locations in Canada are emptying the burger last year.

On Thursday, following Beyond Meat's initial public offering for explosive savings, Chief Executive Officer Ethan Brown said the company was managing the shortages at the right time.

"We are now ready because we have gone through this period and have had to rebuild our supply chain, and we have had to rebuild and develop our production and partnerships to feed the demand," Brown said in an interview with Business Insider. "We are now ready for even more growth."

Beyond Meat opened a new production facility in June, tripling its manufacturing footprint. In 2018, the company's workforce increased by 224% and supply chain expenses increased by $ 1.9 million compared to 2017.

"If we were just facing this curve now, it would be very discouraging, given the level of demand," said Brown.
