The results came seven days after the recount of nearly 460,000 ballots began, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. This ended with an increase in Biden’s total of 257 votes, from 317,270 to 317,527.

Trump’s final tally was increased by 125 votes for a total of 134,482.

City of Milwaukee officials found 386 missing unopened and uncounted ballots that the Solicitation Council unanimously voted to be opened and counted, the newspaper noted. Another 65 ballots were reported to be misplaced on Wednesday, but they were not counted on Friday.

Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson said last week that Trump watchers oppose nearly all ballots drawn to count.

“It is not our job to train their observers on what they observe,” he said. “They clearly don’t know what they’re doing, so they keep asking questions. And we said to the Trump campaign, you have to tell your people what you are looking for here because they oppose every poll.

Christenson concluded the recount on Friday, calling the process “transparent and fair.”

“There was a review of every ballot by election officials, a meticulous recount of every ballot that was properly cast, a transparent process that allowed the public to observe, a fair process that allows the aggrieved candidate who called the recount an opportunity to observe and oppose the ballots which they believe should not be counted, ”he said.

The president’s election campaign paid $ 3 million for the partial recount of the Nov. 3 elections in two historically blue counties, Milwaukee and Dane.

Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell said on Friday the recount had been completed at 65% and is expected to be completed on Sunday.

The outlet noted that recounts must be completed by December 1, a deadline set by state law requiring the Election Commission to certify the results.

Biden won Wisconsin by nearly 21,000 votes, one of many states he reversed this year after Trump won it in 2016.
